As part of the Riverside Revolution, we are reaching out to community members who have resources, or ideas that may be beneficial to any of Our Cousins throughout humanity that are struggling to live right now. It’s hard out here for a lot of us but as we come together we can create and build our own solutions. With the will comes the power to do so. For instance, once upon a time the Pryamids in Ancient Kemet were only an idea, a what if. Then, through planning and organized action/ activism manifestation occurred.

Imhotep, (He who comes peace) is the architect of the pyramids and pretty much the founder of civilization as we know it, once said “each man teaches as he acts.” Not only does this speak towards the integrity of a person, but it also signals the importance of intention. To set an example that is respectable and liberating to the other members of our society, while honoring God and fulfilling our purpose is what we mean in our Vision Statement

The Actualization of the longer Awaited, Us, Ours and We.

We are currently working on developing our own Studio Production Company focused on us uniting telling the stories that matter to us and other children free of Hollywood or Silicon Valley’s perverted and often racist, hateful, and/or abusive rhetoric. We believe we need our own platform to tell our own stories, live our own truth without all the red tape and it’s primarily so we can reach out to help those who need us in all ways possible. To begin this effort we will be designing A study guide for the future of humanity and will be distributing it online as well as in prisons, battered women shelters, orphanages and anywhere else one of Our Cousins needs a shoulder to lean on. We will be distributing the chapters through Our Riverside Revelations Newsletter.


Now to continue building on the Amethyst Alley Concept I wanna talk about the importance of self worth.

You see in today’s society we have national suicide, addiction, homelessness, divorce, imprisonment, and violence rates on a steady incline with no relief in sight.

I’m sure you, like me, have seen pain and despair enveloping the world, stealing our innocence and enslaving us all to debt, home insecurity and corporate welfare. We’ve discussed and debated many of the issues we have for centuries now, and yet we continue to fall short when it comes to creating the solutions we need.

What if we’ve continued to fall short because we’ve been looking for our savior everywhere else but in the mirror?

Not to knock your religion, whatever you believe in but I can tell you from experience that no one can really save you but you. Unfortunately, my Heartache story probably isn’t too different from yours. In school all the teachers really did was tell me I wouldn’t be shit in life. At 13 my Mom gave me that my way or the highway speech so I left, and at 16 I  case, for stealing to eat. At 17 I gave my life to God.

The day before I was arrested my Granny died and it broke something in me. All my life it was her and I against the world. Now, not only was I alone but I was locked up and they wouldn’t even let me attend the funeral, they said I was a “flight risk.”

The day of my Grandmother’s funeral I cried for about 2 hours straight, cried myself to sleep. The next morning I woke up different, I hadn’t lost the pain or the grief and my incarcerated situation hadn’t changed, but who I am as a person had. The next time I looked my 16 year old self in the mirror, my eyes shone with a resilience that hadn’t been there before, a determination that burned brilliantly in the core of my being that said “One day, I’m a make my Granny proud of me.” If I didn’t do anything else in this life, I was going to honor the Lady that loved me so much it taught me to love myself. The Woman who believed me so much it made me believe in myself.

You see, regardless of my circumstances, it was my Grandmother’s love for me that became the cornerstone of my identity, which in turn made my self worth priceless; not because I’m better than anyone else but because I know my Granny’s love is worth more than anything this society has to offer.

What about you, are you or have you ever been through something so painful that all you could do is breakdown and cry until you couldn’t cry anymore? You ever felt that emptiness, that lack, that void that comes with having lost everything else? Do you remember how you felt the next time you looked yourself in the eyes? Do you remember the moment you became a survivor?

What about now, are you still just surviving or have you found your purpose, are you making that glorious impact on the world around you that your supposed to? Are you making a difference in the world and if not, would you like to?

Have you ever witnessed someone going through so much pain that your soul reacted and it brought an unbid tear to your eye? I remember once I saw this photo of an Iragi child running from a burning building with her Disney gown trying to block the tear gas and chaos all around. When I saw that photo, it broke my heart. Like, I have no control over the whole war on Irag thing but at that moment I’d felt like I failed that child. This world should be better than this, our children shouldn’t be suffering and dying while we just keep streaming itunes or Netflix, etc.

As Adults I believe we need to take responsibility for ways of the world and how we interact with them. That plus knowing that if We The People don’t work together in our best interest, nobody else will. This means it’s on us to create and invest in a better world for all of humanity.

Amethyst Alley is how we do this. The Amethyst Alley is where you were that moment when you emotionally reacted to someone else’s pain as a human being in need help; when you recognized the pain they were in and you wished you could’ve been able to tell them that I see you, I understand what your going through and I’m here for you. The moment, when you saw past their physical appearance and into their spiritual actuality, the condition of their soul and something within you broke, that’s the moment when the Amethyst hit your eyes, and that’s when you became a part of the Amethyst Alley Associates. Rather than just a church or a political party, we are just regular people who understand the importance of fellowship, community organizing and activism. We The People Sequel.

Now, let’s build on this Amethyst Eyez International analogy for a little bit. In short, Amethyst is actually a type of crystal that is formed within a geode. Geodes are created by an erupting volcano’s lava mixing with the Earth’s soil and atmosphere. It’s basically a byproduct of Earth, Wind and Fire which if you convert fire into motion, earth into your physical body and wind into your spirit, it makes for the perfect analogy of the human experience.

Like humans, geodes produce a wide variety of Amethyst colored crystals and though no two are identical, they are all the same crystalized formation that grew from the Earth, Wind and Fire. Now I know I’m getting a little abstract but it’s necessary to convey the true message behind Amethyst Alley.

Now, we’ve covered how Amethyst are created and we touched on the fact that they are purple crystals but an interesting fact about the color purple is that the human mind doesn’t really have the capability of seeing it. Our eyes naturally only see mixes of Red, Blue and Green; which our brain then processes into all the other colors, or absence of color we see. The odd thing about purple is red and blue typically make green in our vision but the way our minds process the color purple is by our brain seeing red and blue mixed but not green. The color purple is like a reminder that there are things beyond our comprehension as human beings that we still interact with on a daily basis. It’s a representation of the human imagination at work in real time while also representing things such as faith, nobility, and resilience.

Now to reveal the Amethyst hidden within the geode, there is usually a form of trauma associated with opening the geode, these are the moments we discussed earlier, the cracking of the shell if you will.

Allegorically speaking, before the Amethyst could be revealed, all of it’s false and/or incomplete preconceived notions about itself and the world around it have to cave in but from that experience is birthed the anomaly of the Amethyst in you.

At some point you became more than just a republican or democrat/ more than just right or left/ more than just your complexion or ideology; you became a human being that cares about the world around you.

The Preamble

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

We The People, you became one of us and in doing so, you became a part of a vision for a better tomorrow. Welcome to the Revolution.

Building on the mutual understanding of us all being in this thing together, how do we improve our collective quality of life? How do we actually take our ideas and put them into action?

As someone who has been politically active for the last 10 years, working with different labor unions, and community organizations on multiple projects, the main thing I’ve noticed is that though many people agree with different initiatives and ideas, few actually come into fruition because there wasn’t enough community involvement and support to get it off the ground and keep it running.

I believe this is the result of two primary issues.

1. A lot of people really don’t know what rights they have and/or how to exercise them.

2. We’ve never really had a social and political platform solely dedicated to those of us who are willing to come together dispite our differences and do for the world what the Amethyst inside of us believes we can.

Human Rights is a cause everyone who believes in a better world can stand behind because we are all humans living on this earth together and through rights and responsibilities we are able to secure the liberty of our life.

Freedom Fighting comes in a variety of forms and methods. Everything from civil disobedience to full on declarations of independence but where is our Keystone of information, activity and organization in regards to humanity’s fight for freedom, respectable jobs, affordable housing and justice?

I’m not talking about the Library of Congress or some United Nations committee, I’m not talking about the rich and famous or most influential, I mean a work of art owned and controlled by Us, with the sole focus of ensuring We The People can continue to do everything mentioned in the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution for ourselves and all of the Amethyst around the world.

We are going to organize a computer based training app for activist and organizers around the world to come together and take action on the issues effecting them most and from there we will we build up the Amethyst Alley.
